Love her in the way she prefers, not yours.

I have been listening to FM class 95 for like most of the past 6 years. Not because I think it's awesome with it's standard playlist but simply because my husband likes to play it's station when we're in his car.

1 particular quote recording has been annoying me time to time whenever it's repeated in between breaks. It goes something like...

"Just because someone didnt love you in the way you want, doesnt mean he doesnt love you with all he have(or his heart etc)."

It's been repeated again and again, again and again, again and again, again and again, again and again, again and again. AS IF it's a golden phrase or 至理名言 like that.

Finally for the 5th time I heard it, irritably, I simply said aloud;

"Why should I be loved in the way other people prefer INSTEAD of the way I prefer? You love someone, you love him or her in the way HE/SHE prefers. Not yours."

I had more than 1 relationship and I'm one who appreciates everyone who had loved me in his own way. I prefer to blame it on fate and whatsoever which tore us apart.  But still.....from the few relationships that I had, other than realizing your flaws must match his fortes(vice versa, for e.g, if you're very bad-tempered, then he must be super good-tempered etc), I also realized that he or she must love you in the way YOU prefer.

I once had a relationship that didnt work out. I was like only 18 then. I had a much older BFF Stacey at 26 years old. Very sad, lost contact with her. =( She encouraged me on that very rocky relationship and commented on how sweet my then bf was. And I dubiously commented, "Huh he's sweet?? He was sooooo weird! He didnt want to share any food with me and only prefer to eat my leftovers!"

"That's how he's showing his love for you, my dear." Stacey told me.

"Huh??!! Seriously??!!?" I was so perplexed.

Eventually the relationship didnt work out as I was convinced that he didnt love me that much by the things he did and the things he didnt do. And I supposed I did the same, which led to his lack of enthusiasm in the relationship. It's so puzzling to me when he kept emphasizing that I dont love him when I did indeed loved him very much then. Vice versa, he kept emphasized he loved me but I dont believe him at all. Now I realized, we simply did not love each other in the way we individually preferred.

Love her in the way she prefers.

Love him in the way he prefers.

Not your way.

It's no use loving her in the way you prefer and the way you acknowledged when she dont understands or acknowledge it at all.

Perhaps this verse might have been familiar. By a concerned friend maybe, or another guy who truly cares for you;

"He dont love you for god's sake!! All those sweet-nothings, all those flowers, all those branded bags. Is he ever around when you need him?? He's not!! I'm the one who loves you!!" But let me share another story.

I have a close girlfriend who is always very candid to me and I really like that. She said that she told her then-boyfriend-now-hubby that she wanted at least a 1 carat diamond proposal ring or she will not say yes. Her then-boyfriend, who can well afford the ring, lamented in a jokking tone, "You very materialistic leh." Then she explained to him, as well as to me, that, if a man is willing to splurge his hard-earned money on you, willing to part with that sum of money just to make you happy, then that must be love. For if he loves himself more, he will prefer to spend that money on himself instead of on you."

I nodded my head in agreement. It does make some sense. And so I do agree to a certain extent.

And I'm glad the boyfriend didnt fly into a rage judging my friend for being superficial or love him for his money etc etc. He always buy her expensive birthday presents and buys her things she want. Eventually he planned a super romantic proposal and proposed with a 1.28carat of gigantic rock. Lol. The pair are so loving and are as happy as lovebirds. =)

He choose to love her in the way she prefers. That I think, is really true love.

Often we heard couples quarrel, especially when the female is over-bearing with her possessiveness.

"I dont mean to restrict your freedom! But your weekends should always be spent with me, lest you meet someone new and stray......... I did that because I love you!!!"

To her, love means spending time together on every weekend and not to be spent with friends.
To him, it's just a selfish possession of another human being. And DISTRUST is dampening.
To him, love is giving him freedom and let him bond with his buddies.

This kind of relationships, wont last.

Of course this is just 1 example. Different people have difference preferences. Of course I will be happy when my hubby drenched me with expensive gifts, bought with his hard-earned money. But in comparison, I will rather he dont work so hard to buy those expensive bags, spends more time with me, brings me to nice dinners and movies. That will make me happier. But again, life is a harsh reality. How can he have the time and money to always bring me to nice dinners and movies UNLESS he works hard? Life needs to have a balance somewhere. Which means I also have to accept how he needs to spend some of his weekends working. Just so because we can have a great and romantic weekend-after, or awesome holidays months after.

Sometimes when we go shopping, I can take an interest in some un-branded bags or simply a Rilakkuma passport holder(instead of the LV one he bought me; which I returned to exchange for other stuff...=P), of which hubby will jokkingly comment, "Aiya you like this type huh, tell me mah. Can help me save so much money. Haha." Of which I replied with a smile. "The things I want generally costs little to nothing. But sometimes you just dont bother to remember doing it or to go about doing it." With which, his expression turned somber and decidedly tender.

I like him to kiss me on my cheek before he goes to work and when he returns home to me.
I like him to buy me my favorite custard buns or any of my favorite food as a surprise.
I like him to call me to see if I need any food whenever he's coming home to me.
I like him to understand me well, to know my likes and dislikes.
I like him to give me flowers.
I like him to make me laugh.
I like him to be astute enough to discover my change in mood/emotions and cheer me up.(This is super difficult for him, I know. Zzzz)
I like him to plan activities for some weekends so that I dont have to crack my brains every single weekend on where to go and what to eat.
I like him to show concern to my mummy.
I like him to spend time to play with Vickki or bring her for a walk.
I like him to accompany me go marketing at NTUC.
I like him to hold my hands or just an impromptu kiss or hug when we're on the escalator.
I like him to fetch me whenever he can.
I like him to do some necessary housework without being prompted; especially throwing the garbage.
I like him to give me the freedom to meet my dearest friends.
Last but not least, I like him to trust me even when I'm out late.

All these are my preferred ways of loving me. =)

Some people finds it so easy but some people finds it so difficult. How odd.

Haha. Sekali the way he prefers me to love him....is to...NOT DO ALL THIS. *Faints* LOL!

假素颜 look (Fake bare face)

Lately, I've discovered a new makeup routine or rather, a very natural, light and fuss-free look for myself, which I love very much. I call it the 假素颜 look. =P Somehow, I'm slowly easing away from the fuss of applying foundation or bb cream to my face. It might be because of age catching up, so I just dont wish to have anything heavy on my skin or to look very "made up" especially when I'm just at the neighbourhood areas catching a movie. However, I can look really haggard with my dull skin if I'm going out bare. And with my oily & combination skin, nose and forehead tends to become shiny in a few hours and I abhor that.

So these few stuff are my to-go lately. Especially when I'm catching a dinner and movie or doing marketing with dearie at nearby neighbourhood areas which lasts around 6 hours or so. Oh well, call me vain then. But I dont wish to scare little children outside. =P

Apply in this order after toner on clean face:
1) Stila - One Step Correct Correcteur (can buy at Sephora around S$50+)
2) Biore - UV Perfect Face Milk SPF 50+ PA+++ (white bottle)
3) Etude House - Collagen Moistfull Smoothing Ampule Primer (around S$20)
4) Beauty Credit - Lovely Face Power(loose power) in colour 21 Crystal

It's helpful to use an oil-control toner prior to all this if you have really oily skin. Stila - One Step Correct Correcteur helps to correct and even out your skin tone to a natural finish. It gives a cooling sensation and preps your skin well so that other products can easily blend on. That being said, it's not a super wonderful product which will cover all your flaws or pores. Never step out of the house without a sun-screen. Biore - UV Perfect Face Milk SPF 50+ PA+++ (white bottle) is suitable for oily to combination skin as it has sebum control and it helps to let Etude House - Collagen Moistfull Smoothing Ampule Primer glides on smoothly without any debris(which strangely appear when I skipped the sun-screen once). The latter gives a very natural radiant flow and gives minimal coverage. But be careful not to apply too little or too much. Too much your skin will look overly radiant(very "made-up") and too little will have no effect. Lastly, lightly pat on Beauty Credit - Lovely Face Power(loose power) in colour 21 Crystal and you're done.

If you have even better skin, go ahead and use Laura Mercier's loose powder because it's even finer, smoother and lighter on the skin(thus almost no coverage, I usually use it after bb cream). I chose to use Beauty Credit because I still wish to have some very minimalllllllllll coverage. The end result is a brighter and more radiant face with a natural finish. And frankly speaking, I thought it looks like my face is totally bare without makeup(unless you look really closely). It simply looks fresh and clean. I call it the 假素颜. =) What's best, it looks fresh for around 6 hours without any need for touch-up. To last more than 8hours, a heavy duty primer from Make Up For Ever Primer is more suitable. But of course, it wont have the light and 假素颜 look.

Lastly, sweep your eyebrows lightly with eyebrow powder, apply some lipbalm and the whole look is finished. If you have really pale skin and wish to have some colour, Relvon Powder Blush in Tawny Peach is a very subtle and sheer peachy blush which is great for light/sheer makeup.

Movie title: Hansel and Gretel
Ratings: 4.3/5
Comments: We watched it in 2D. Yeah, finally a nice movie!! The last few we watched are kinda disappointing. Pretty thrilling. Love the effects. Some scenes might be sinister so not suitable for kids. Hmmm......I feel the way the cameraman catches the scenes is kinda odd....it swings from place to place and made me felt kinda giddy. Thank god I'm not at the first few rows. Be sure to watch it from some distance ya.

《后宮甄嬛传》 A great drama

Or simply 《甄嬛传》for short.
What can I say? It has been a long time since I got so obsessed and entranced with a drama serial, one that is so damn long somemore; 76 episodes. But TRUST ME, it really doesnt feel that long! The first few episodes might have started off at normal speed but it gets more and more intense and thrilling as it progressed. There are days which I simply spend the whole day at home and watched it non-stop until 7am in the morning. I really dont remember when's the last time I got so intensely excited watching a movie(one that is not horror/action), much less a drama! It's totally addictive!! Thus be warned that your connection works alright once you started watching. Why, I almost smashed my laptop when I reached episode 40+ just because the video wont load. Lol.

《甄嬛傳》01HD高清版

This link loads very fast and is super clear as it's HD. Enjoy!!
It's one serial which you'll have lots of thoughts after watching..........that's how you know it's an awesome drama........you'll have after-thoughts..... I have too but shan't blog now since I dont wish to be a spoiler. =)

Baiyoke Sky Hotel, Level 76's deadly buffet & Phyathai Hospital

I was at Bangkok for a business trip for 5 days during the 2nd week of January, where we had team bondings/meetings/seminars to attend on the 3rd and 4th day. 2 full days. To cut the very long story short, we suffered food poisoning on the 3rd day 4am after the supposedly sumptuous buffet at Baiyoke Sky Hotel, Level 76 on Day 2.

It was hell. It first started as normal diarrhea with pain. But the pain in the stomach escalated to become super intense, It felt like your intestines were being twisted and released continuously. As tears flowed involuntarily, I had no choice but to wake my roommate up and asked her to call dearie. Dearie came, with a twisted face as he also had stomach pain and had diarrhea a couple of times for the last 2 hours. While his condition wasnt very serious, I knew I had to go to the hospital. Might as well go together to seek treatment. Just changing into decent clothes was a chore. Within 5 minutes from Indra Regent hotel, we reached Phyathai hospital. It was totally empty except for a few male nurses. Upon reaching, a male nurse came forward with a wheelchair and seated me. I was pushed to another section. The wheelchair which I was in was quickly transformed into a bed after the male nurse maneuvered it. Finally the doctor came and he looked as if he just woke up from sleep. Anyway, most of the nurses dont understand English, only the doctor does. He instructed another female nurse to give me a painkiller jab and proceeded to see dearie. Then he left.

Unfortunately, the painkiller jab had little help. And dearie's medicine still did not come after a long wait. We requested to see the doctor again and again, with me demanding for a stronger jab, and dearie for his medicine. Either they dont understand, or they were very inefficient. On the other hand, another man, well-dressed in suit came over to us with a bill and a portable credit card machine and requested for payment. They wanted 20,000baht as deposit per head. It's not as if we're not understanding for that protocol since we're foreigners. But hey, shouldnt you wait till your patients werent in pain before you hurried them to sign a credit card bill? Surely we cant run when we're so in pain.

After billing, the male nurse "transformed" my bed into a chair again and began to wheel me to the center of the hospital. To wait for presumably the preparation of our ward, I guess. It felt like forever. The next moment I began to throw up really stinky stuff. Thankfully I held on to my precious plastic bag all this time but even then, my vomit filled up the bag. It was uncontrollable as another bout came and I twisted my head to vomit onto the floor. Another puddle. Sigh............ beside me, I could hear dearie yelling irritably to the male nurse to bring tissue and another plastic bag while he commented to me with disgust, "He saw you vomiting and he just ran away!! Wah lau what kind of nurse is that??" Dearie then asked another nurse, "Are there any private hospitals nearby?" Of which the nurse replied embarrassingly, "This is private hospital............." (=.=)''''''''''''

Anyway, we were finally ushered into the ward and we were very thankful they placed us in a 2 bedded room without any qualms for opposite sex. Of course, we probably also couldnt do anything considering how horribly sick we were. *Roll eyes* After a long while, I was then put on drip etc, with antiobiotics and also 2 more jabs,  1 for pain and 1 to stop vomit. And dearie's medicine finally arrived. Most of my pain subsided but not all. The diarrhea continued. I had about 4-5times a day but dearie was worse, 8 to 9 times. Dearie's condition worsen as his stomach pain became more serious. We both felt pretty miserable. But were still pretty thankful that whenever we rang the bell, the nurses arrived in less than 3minutes to aid us to the toilet(because need to unplug the drip). The room's equipment and everything were still pretty backward and inadequate as compared to Singapore. You have to request for everything. From toilet paper to toiletries to towels to new PJs. The toilets were like totally unequipped. Service wise, it's comparable to Singapore's private hospitals in the sense that attention were given promptly. Although, these people worked in a pretty slack way. They moved ever so slowly. Sometimes the things you requested from them, it went in from the left ear and out from the other. Like I requested lozenges for my throat, but they never came. It might be because they dont understand English well or they simply bo chup. And the doc just MIA on the 2nd day too. He came to see us on the 3rd day instead and told us we can be discharged in the afternoon.

On the 2nd day, another 4 of my colleagues were hospitalized in the same hospital. Another 10 odd came to the hospital to see doctor as well as to visit us. I believed more than 40 of us diarrhea.

The 2 days hospitalization bill and etcetera came up to around S$800+ for me and S$700+ for dearie. Compared to Singapore, the cost is comparable to our government hospitals C ward. But service wise, I will say it's better than our government hospitals but not as good as our private hospitals. Maybe because we're lucky that the hospital was pretty empty so we dont have to wait as long as compared to a government hospital in Singapore. Again, I guess most Thai dont go private hospitals as the cost might be expensive for them.

Received alot of blessings from our colleagues and we were all discussing about exactly which food caused us so much misery? Because there were also colleagues who ate a ton but suffered nothing. It was hard to draw a conclusion but the salmon sashimi and the seafood, especially prawns were the biggest suspects. After discharged, dearie and me were grounded in the hotel room because we were still having diarrhea despite the tons of medicine we were taking. We then concluded Bangkok's medicines are really too mild. For our meals, we had room service at our Indra Regent hotel. Thankfully they tasted not bad. But not cheap. 1 meal for both of us costs around S$40-50. We easily spent S$90 for dinner and supper. On the final 5th day, we finally went out to the pharmacy outside to buy diarrhea pills because I was convinced that the hospital medicine dont work! Surprisingly, the lady at the pharmacy was very good with English and the various medications and true enough, with the pills she recommended, our diarrhea stopped! Thank god!! I cant imagine having diarrhea on the plane!! Yucks!

In short, unless you're real tough, else please stay away from Baiyoke Sky Hotel, Level 76's buffet.

Also, no matter how much you hate or disbelieve insurance, please do buy travel insurance. They are so cheap but can be so life-saving. We claimed everything under it plus consultations within 7days after discharge are claimable too. As I said, we didnt totally recover after back to Sg so we went to see our family doctor for stomach discomfort and nausea etc. There is also S$200 allowance for each day of hospitalization stay so that means we have S$800. Considered a meager consolation since the whole BKK trip is so wasted!! Arrghhh!!

Movie Reviews: Mama, The Impossible, Silver Linings Playbook

Movie title: Mama
Ratings: 3.5/5
Comments: Spooky!! Is it because it has been too long since I catch a horror?? Hee!!
Quite thrilling. However the story is a mess and the ending sucks.

Movie title: The Impossible
Ratings: 3/5
Comments: It's not as thrilling as I've expected as the flick focused more on the aftermath
of the tsunami rather than what happens during the tsunami. Much preferred the Korean version.

Movie title: Silver Linings Playbook
Ratings: 1/5
Comments: Hmmm.........I dont understand how it got nice reviews on Popcorn(android app) and GV etc...
Because I got so bored that I took my phone out to play during the movie. Seriously, looking at how people suffers a mental breakdown or having anger management problems is really not my cup of tea. Comedy? Really? Maybe I dont have a funny bone.

Samsung Mobile Service Center at Jurong Point - Just Beware

Hmm....it feels like forever since I've last blogged. That's probably because I felt as if many things have happened. And I really wish I can update all at once. There are so much information, important information which I wished to share. I'll try to keep them brief and straight to the point.

Firstly, did I mention that my Samsung Note 2 was kinda faulty earlier? I had trouble charging it. It's not that I cant charge it at all, it's just that it's only chargeable when the charger/portable charger is tilted at a specific angle. That being said, of course it's super inconvenient and inefficient. So I brought it to Samsung who informed me that I have to wait 3-5working days and I will probably lose all my info. I did intend to sync my data for backup but as the charging port was faulty, I was unable to do that. Thankfully, the CS told me it's possible to use external SD card to backup instead. So I popped over to Challenger and spent S$50(member price) to buy a 32GB Sandisk Class10 micro-SD card just because I need it urgently. My heart pained because I knew the original Samsung Class10 micro-SD cards are selling so much cheaper in Qoo10. FYI, I read that Class10 SD cards reads much faster than Class4(older version). That's probably why they are more expensive too. Although the backup process done by the young boy was tedious, incomplete and time-consuming(somehow I lost the video of my brother's ROM solemnization in the process...sigh...)....I'm still thankful for his help.

On the 3rd day, Samsung called up and the same boy informed me that my phone was corroded(with water etc) and my warranty is void. And I have to pay S$330+ to change the entire motherboard, XXX board, stereo and basically everything. I was struck dumb. I replied to leave my phone alone as I thought of getting it repaired outside might be cheaper. But after I disconnected the call, I pondered....I only had problems charging my phone which is totally functionable so why should I change all the motherboard, stereo etc? So I called up again. Throughout the conversation, the boy had little to tell me and he cant answer my technical questions and so I requested to talk to the technician. But I was rejected. Finally I asked if they can just change the charging port only(which I will pay of course). He answered they cant because some Singapore authorities/law disallow them to return a corroded phone to the customer without changing the motherboard etc. It's totally absurd. I requested to talk to the manager then, but was also rejected.

Finally, exasperated, since I cant overrule the rules and regulations, I asked if I can sign a disclaimer. I waited for a full 5minutes again, which the boy probably asked his very cowardly manager who dont dare to talk to me, the boy finally answered it's possible; the disclaimer will state that I allow them to only change the charging port of my corroded phone while leaving all other parts intact. And that I will pay for the fee(S$34) NO MATTER the charging works or not as well as releasing my rights to hold Samsung liable for any faults which may arise in my phone in future.

I was like, "Okie fine". I was pretty sure it's only my charging port which is faulty so I'm thinking I will take a gamble. If still cant charge, I will bring it elsewhere to repair. At most, I can always buy a battery charger which is around S$30+ for a Samsung original. But throughout the night, I became worried. It was obvious that the technician is very incompetent and suddenly I'm wary of him doing anything to my phone. What if after he changed the charging port and somehow other parts of my phone dont work??!!! And I told dearie, the technician so cannot make it, skali is from China lor, better dont take any risk. So the next morning I called up at 11am(they opened at 11am) to request them to leave my phone as it is. But I was shocked to be informed that they had already changed the charging port. I was so indignant and exclaimed, "But I haven sign the disclaimer form!! Shouldnt you wait till I sign and then change??" He replied my consent through the phone was assumed to be valid. Damn.......anyway on the way to Jurong Point, I was praying that my phone will be okay. Finally it was my turn and true enough, with the new charging port, the phone can finally be charged!!

But my relief was short-lived. Still at the service counter, I realized my phone cant detect any reception or rather, my SIM card. I then asked the boy to bring it to the technician to fix it right. He came back around 10minutes later with a sorry face and said sorry that my phone cant be fixed and they cant be held liable based on the disclaimer said over the phone. At that point of time, my expression was indescribable. I tried to calm myself down and said that my phone is totally functionable when I brought it there to repair, it's just that the phone can only be charged when the charger is at a specific angle.

"I can always buy a battery charger at S$30+ and I can still use my phone even if I didnt come here to change the charging port. Now, your technician totally messed up my phone until it cant even detect my SIM card!! How am I going to use my phone?? It's only few months old!" It was a Saturday and the service center was pretty crowded. Although I tried to keep my tone level, devoid of anger and fury, I raised my volume a little. Not because I held fault with the boy(since he has no fault; the fault lies with the technician), but because I know with the other customers looking on.....yes....it'll definitely helps, if you know what I mean.

Indeed, he went back into the technicians' room again and came back 10minutes later and finally fixed my phone. My Note 2 finally detected my SIM card and network and worked perfectly! I was so happy! All my info and everything were intact too. Shucks.....shouldnt have bought the micro-SD card from Challenger. Anyway, I thanked the boy sincerely and requested for the name of the technician. I told him frankly that I'm going to lodge a complaint because the technician was totally incompetent and irresponsible. The boy then gave me the initials and wrote H.X on my service form. I laughed and asked, "Are you kidding me? I want the full name."

Hong Xu.

"From China is it?" I asked.

The boy answered sheepishly, "Err....ya"

I said, "No wonder."

I was right...............

Idiot!! Put me through so much trouble, so much worry, so much time and hassle.

Foreign Talent.

Talent my ass.

I did signed the disclaimer eventually. My phone is still working great, with just the change of the charging port at S$34, and not $330 for the entire motherboard/stereo etc.

And I repeated this whole story to most of my friends who are using Samsung mobiles. It's puzzling why all the guys got it with patient comprehension while 2 girlfriends asked me impatiently, "So what's the moral of the story???"

Seriously, if after such a long and detailed story, you still cant get it then I also dont know what to say. Sigh.........

I just wish nobody go through another ordeal just like I did, or spend few hundreds needlessly to boast Samsung's share price.

Oh ya, dearie just told me another PRC driver banged into a female motorist today.

They're creating so much problems in Sg. I really wish they'll go back to their motherland.

Shopping at alldealsasia.com

Cant really describe and explain the sheer joy of simply my hubby coming back home to me. This is love I guess. =) Of course, my darling bought me supper too! Hee. That's probably why I'm getting fatter and fatter.

It has been a super unlucky week for me as I kept falling sick. One illness after another, or rather, when it rain, it pours. =( So I'm on a 5days course of antibiotics. To make things worse, I suddenly developed a lump under my chin near the throat, which is super painful even when I'm not talking. :~( It rather felt like I have an adam's apple(some distance above the throat though). ZzzZzz....I wonder is it linked? I'm so worried it might be a tumour or something...but I guess not....Dr Tan told me before all our organs are linked. Sometimes you have sorethroat but your ear gets swollen instead! It's more bizarre. Anyway....if tomorrow the pain doesnt cease, I might make a trip down to see Dr tan again......Sigh....... I'm just feeling super grouchy, restless and emooooo. Thank god tomorrow both dearie and me are off. =D

Damn, and my Note 2 is in for repairs. I have trouble charging it. =(  And it's 3-5 working days. Now, I'm using dearie's iphone3 and I feel most frustrated without the "back" button. And I couldnt see my contacts at all because they're not visible unless I import them into the handphone(which I dont want lah because it's hubby's phone). No what'sapp too. My own iphone3 was locked with password and I forgot my password.
I think it's more detrimental for me to stay home than go outdoors as you know..paying with paypal is so easy. =P I bought a ton of things from alldealsasia and qoo10.sg. Some for me and some for the household. =D

Main reason is because it keeps food fresher for a longer time and it's easier to store food this way; i.e, I dont need to waste all my small plates to cover them.

Movie title: Jack Reacher
Ratings: 3.8/5
Comments: It's not bad, I feel most Tom's movies have a minimum standard. But if compare to the Mission Impossible series, especially it's part 3, then "Jack Reacher" is a let-down because it's not thrilling enough. More details into plot and...how the puzzle is being unwind. Started off real slowly but gets better. Dont have too high expectations and you'll probably be satisfied. I might be too obsessed with Liam Neeson, as I still feel he's a better candidate for the role, especially right after hubby told me Jack Reacher is a 1.90+m guy in the novel. Liam is 1.93m. =P
